A little History……..
In 2006 we celebrate 50 years of trading as A. Pearson butchers. The late Arthur Pearson took over the shop in 1956 and ran it for 20 years before handing it over to David Ireton who, with his good friend John Wane have continued to trade. As both men agreed to retire together last year I was asked if I would like to continue the business . So here I am Ian Danskin with my wife Angela ( the real boss) and our children Niamh & Shauna .
We have had the Copper Kettle Tea Room next door for several years and we ready to embrace a new challenge. In September of this year we took on a new member of staff Steve Pickup, who has always lived in the village and on his first outing entering a competition he came away with a Gold Award and we welcome back John Wane.
We now make our own bread and cakes in our own bakery behind the shop,
We are developing the delicatessen side of the business with a large range of preserve, chutneys, pickles, cooking sauces, patchwork Pate (10 varieties) and an increasing number of English and continental cheese and our own Wensleydale Cheese
