The SN Capacitor Series from SignalPath combines special heat-flattened winding techniques with a polypropylene-tinfoil construction to give exceptional audio performance in loudspeaker crossovers, signal path and power supply bypass applications. In addition to the well-documented fine audio characteristics of tin-foil, these capacitors have the twin benefits of heat-flattened construction: an increased tighening of the winding, leading to better tan-d values, and also lower height profile for space-challenged applications.

Presenting the new SN Capacitor Series from SignalPath which combines special heat-flattened winding techniques with a polypropylene-tinfoil construction to give exceptional audio performance in loudspeaker crossovers, signal path and power supply bypass applications.
Instead of adopting the normal technique of winding on a spindle of 2mm diameter, the spindle size is increased to 4mm diameter. The result is a cleaner start at the beginning of the winding process. The films are better aligned, allowing for wrinkle-free winding from beginning to end. This results in improved, homogenous electrical characteristics of the capacitors. This is further improved by flattening the capacitors into an oval shape on a hot press. This gives better tan-d values that increase the life of the capacitor, and, of course, a lower physical profile, ideal for space-limited applications, and more resilient to applications where vibration is an issue.
Green Dots - 5% Capacitance Tolerance
Our Green Dots offer an economical price for an excellent product, at 20% to 40% cheaper than our closest competitor, but with the benefit of a more exact and lower profile winding.
Blue Dots - 2% Capacitance Tolerance
Our Blue Dots offer tighter tolerance capacitors where 2% absolute and/or less than 5% tolerance matched pars are required for more exacting applications.
Red Dots - 1% Capacitance Tolerance
Our Red Dots are the tightest tolerance tin-foil capacitors on the market, and are suitable for the most exacting applications where performance comes ahead of price considerations.
